About Caroline Greathouse

Caroline grew up in Prospect, Oldham County, KY, where she attended high school at Louisville Collegiate School and studied at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She finished her undergraduate degree in Spanish & Psychology and went on to get her master’s degree in Spanish from the University of Louisville.



Caroline is the accountant for her family business, Greathouse Farms, as well as a sales associate at M’s Canvas House. She has previously worked as an international sales representative for Northland Company in LaGrange, KY. Her family are cattle farmers, and they live in Scott County. She has been a life-long equestrian and eventer. Growing up, she was very active in Pony Club. She completed her first Rally in 1989 with Covered Bridge Pony Club and went on to attain a ‘B’ ranking. She has continued riding, competing and volunteering to the present day. 


In 2020, Caroline was asked to serve as the chief steward of road crossings and crowd control for the LRK3DE, a position she still holds. She is also very active with various local organizations related to the equine industry. She is serving her second term on both the board of directors at the Kentucky Horse Council as well as on the USEA Area VIII committee. Her strengths are fundraising and sponsorship.
