About Catherine W. Kohn

Catherine has been interested in the sport of eventing throughout her veterinary career. She is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and is Board Certified in Large Animal Internal Medicine. She has been the veterinary delegate at many competitions in the United States, including the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, Fair Hill international CCI 3*, the Radnor CCI 2*, and most recently, at the 2016 Quillota CIC 3* in Chile. Catherine was the President of the Veterinary Commissions for Eventing, Dressage, Para-dressage, and Driving at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, KY. She was a treating veterinarian at the 1978 Eventing World Championship in Lexington, KY, and the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong. She was a member of the US Equestrian Federation Selection Committee for horses in international competition from 1992 to 2012. She was a member of the FEI’s Veterinary Committee from 2002 to 2004 and the FEI Horse Welfare Committee from 2005 to 2008. She is currently a member of the USEF Drug and Medications Committee and the Veterinary Committee.
