About Christian Steiner

Christian is living with his wife Claudia, also judge and rider, in Austria, nearby Salzburg. Also his adult children are horse people.

Christian has competed himself almost for 30 years in Dressage, Showjumping and international Eventing on self trained horses besides his job as managing director and management consultant. He is national judge for Eventing, Showjumping an Dressage up to the highest level, FEI Eventing Judge Level 4 and FEI Eventing Technical Delegate Level 3.

Christian is officiating up to 20 Horse Trials a year all over the world. He judged the WEGs in Pratoni 2022, European Championships in Avenches 2021, World Championships Young Horses, Europeans for Young Riders and Ponies, FEI Asian Games, CCI5* Kentucky 2022, Badminton 2019 and 2024, Burghley and Adelaide in 2023, did Marbach, Melbourne, Temecula, Boekelo, Blair Castle, Burnham Market, several times Aachen, Luhmühlen, Bromont, Hartpury, Avenches, Saumur and many more events as judge and TD. His goal is to help to reduce accidents and bad falls as well as to hand back his eventing experience to the community!

Christian is very happy to officiate again in Kentucky this year and is very much looking forward to an exiting week of great sport with our beloved horses! He wishes all of us a save week, fair sport and a lot of fun as well!“
