About Karen Winn

Karen Winn grew up in Princeton, NJ. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and the University of Kentucky, with degrees in Animal Science and Accounting. She was involved in the Kentucky Thoroughbred industry for some years, but spent much of her professional career in the equine association nonprofit sector, including working for the University of Kentucky, Midway College, the US Pony Clubs, the American Hanoverian Society, the American Saddlebred Horse Association, and the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation.



Karen is a USEF licensed judge in the Dressage, Eventing, and Western Dressage Divisions, in addition to being an Eventing Technical Delegate. She is also an FEI licensed Eventing Judge, TD, and Chief Steward. She has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver medals, and currently competes in Dressage and Western Dressage. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky, and is active on the boards of the Lexington Kennel Club and American Black & Tan Coonhound Club. When time permits, she competes with her dogs in conformation and performance events.
